Local Ministries

FIVE DAY CLUBS: The 5-Day Clubs are held in the summer in local neighborhoods under the supervision of the local CEF® chapter. Club kits provide all the necessary teaching materials.

AFTER SCHOOL GOOD NEWS CLUBS: ASGNCs work in cooperation with public schools to supplement the children’s education with biblical principles. Each club also includes strong discipleship training to build character and strengthen moral and spiritual growth. All clubbers are encouraged to attend a local church.

CHRISTIAN YOUTH IN ACTION: CYIA™ trains you to present the Gospel in a 5-Day Club®. Training sessions are held during the month of June for 8 to 14 days.

CEF MAILBOX CLUB: This is an exciting through-the- mail discipleship ministry for children and adults. The CEF Mailbox Club™ includes six different age-related series of lessons. Each lesson is processed by a volunteer who prays for any needs the student might have, writes an encouraging note, and sends a new lesson. Students who complete the first series of lessons receive a certificate of completion and the 365-page Wonder Devotional Book.

After School Good News Club

An after-school Good News Club® is an exciting fun-filled 1 hour club held once a week where churched or unchurched children ages 4-12 learn meaningful songs, life-changing Bible verses and hear dynamic Bible lessons applied to their lives.

Fresno CEF® has been in over 60 public schools with over 2800 children participating in the Fresno, West Fresno, Clovis, Sanger, Central, Visalia, Laton, Coarsegold, Sierra and Bass Lake Unified School Districts. But there remain many more schools and districts without clubs. That means there are still hundreds of children that are not able to participate in a club or hear the truths and promises found in God’s word. They may be denied the great opportunity to become His child and to have a personal and growing relationship with their creator, the King of Kings, the Lord Jesus.

We believe that what is required to have an effective Good News Club in a school is a small group of dedicated people from local churches who have a strong desire for the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be shared with as many children as possible. As Christians, God has blessed each one of us with various gifts to use in building His Kingdom. “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10 NIV

Christians with various gifts come together and use them as a team to reach the children in their school. The purpose of this team is to seek ways to promote the Good News Club at your school and show the love of Christ in the community through the GNC™ ministry.
